In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 24th National “Work Safety Month” campaign, enhance the emergency evacuation capabilities of all staff, strengthen their self-rescue and mutual rescue skills, and ensure the goal of zero casualties in emergencies, on the afternoon of June 17th, the General Office organized a fire evacuation drill in the office building, taking practical actions to jointly build a solid line of defense for the company’s work safety.
At 14:00 in the afternoon, a shrill alarm suddenly rang out! The staff released smoke bombs from the fire drill, creating a realistic smoke environment to simulate the scene of a fire. All the staff members of the office building, under the direction of the floor managers, bent down, covered their mouths and noses, and evacuated quickly and orderly along the fire escape routes. It only took 2 minutes and 30 seconds for all personnel to safely reach the emergency shelter and assemble, demonstrating an efficient emergency response capability! Meanwhile, the fire-fighting team responded promptly, carrying fire extinguishers and wearing fireproof suits to put out the simulated fire point.
During the practical fire-fighting operation session, to enhance employees’ ability to use fire-fighting tools and emergency measures, security personnel set up a simulated fire source at the downwind direction and invited employees from all departments to conduct practical fire extinguisher operation drills. Employees from all departments took turns to follow the standard operating procedures: 1. “Lift” – Lift the fire extinguisher; 2 “Pull” – Pull out the safety pin; 3 “Grip” – Hold the front end of the nozzle; 4 “Press” – Press down the handle to spray. The blazing flames were quickly extinguished under standardized operation, truly achieving a dual improvement in “theory and practice”!
During this fire emergency drill, all departments responded promptly and cooperated seamlessly, fully demonstrating the effectiveness of the emergency management mechanism of “unified command and hierarchical responsibility” and the feasibility of the emergency plan. This event not only made the fire safety policy of “prevention first, combining prevention with elimination” deeply rooted in people’s minds, but also enabled employees to deeply realize through immersive experiences that fire safety is not just empty talk on paper, but a survival skill that every employee must master.
Work safety has never been a “solo performance” of a single department or individual, but rather a “chorus” that requires the participation of all. Let’s take this drill as an opportunity to continuously improve the emergency management system, regularly carry out safety training, transform fire safety awareness into daily behavioral habits, and jointly build a “firewall” for enterprise fire safety!
